Abstracts

Abstract Submission

We have extended the deadline for submission of Abstracts to Friday, April 28th.

(Thank you to everyone who submitted an Abstract by our initial deadline of April 7th! See our newly added Participants tab.)

Please e-mail your abstract to naec2017@holycross.edu

In your e-mail, please indicate if you will be giving an oral or poster presentation.

Notifications will be sent subsequently in early May.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 250 words.

Please submit your abstract as a single .doc or .docx file with the presenting author's last name as the file name.

In the file text, please include a title, authors, author affiliations, an e-mail address for the presenting author, and indicate with an asterisk who the presenting author is if not the first author.

Student Scholarship Application

We currently have funding for ten (10) $100 scholarships for students to help defray travel costs associated with attending the meeting. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please include your curriculum vitae (C.V.) and a short statement (less than 1 page) describing your research and how attending the meeting will advance your career goals. Attach these documents to the e-mail you send with your Abstract. Note that the deadline for this application is also Friday, April 7th and we will notify you if you are selected for a scholarship, also around April 28th.

To reiterate, please submit the following attached to a single e-mail:

- your Abstract

- your C.V.

- a short statement (less 1 page) describing your research and how attending the meeting will advance your career goals

Information for Presenters

Oral Presentation

Tentatively, oral presentations will be scheduled for 15 minutes with 5 minutes for questions.

The presentation room will be equipped with one of each of the following items:

  • LCD projector
  • PC Computer with speakers
  • Screen
  • Internet connection

Please bring your presentation on a flash drive compatible with PC equipment only (not Mac). We will load your talk onto the presentation computer prior to your session.

Poster Presentations

Posters should be in Landscape orientation with a size of 3 feet by 4 feet (90 cm x 120 cm). Poster presentation stands and push pins will be made available.

Posters will be numbered and you will receive your number prior to the start of the conference.
